What if i correct the mistake of name spell in the passport, does my vaild B1 Visa becomes invaild?

I have my Initial's expanstion spell wrong, now the passport is due to renewal, and if i get the spell corrected, will my US B1 Visa, will be invaild? also will there be any issue with other Visa applications to US.

What if i correct the mistake of name spell in the passport, does my vaild B1 Visa becomes invaild?
No, as long as the correction is clearly listed in the passport as an amendment. If you apply using a different passport, you should show them your original with the amendment to cut down on confusion later on.
Reply:you should change your visa too if you can unless you are just putting an amendment in the same passport w/ the incorrect name and visa, if you get a completely new passport, you could have issues

i am not sure what you mean in your last question, but as long as you were able to get the first visa, and nothing much has changed except your name, you can get the second visa,

I changed my name in my passport a couple years ago and was told to change my visa too just in case, b/c the name change meant i needed a new passport

also if you change your passport and not the visa, i suggest keeping the old passport w/ the new one so you don't forget to have both, i have seen people forget that their visa is in the old passport
Reply:While having the spelling in the passport corrected, you may also approach the visa authorities also, for correction of the name in the visa.
Reply:No, but do it ahead of time. I had a friend stuck in Russia for an extra month because his visa had a typo on his name. (All because the Russian alphabet didn't have one of the letters in his last name and the typists "fudged" it.)
