What is the value an autographed card of Hakeem Olajuwon with his name spelled Akeem?

He autographed the card for me when I lived in Houston.

What is the value an autographed card of Hakeem Olajuwon with his name spelled Akeem?
I saw some strange answers on this question.

Anyway Akeem is the original first name of Olajuwan, and a generic view, card condition decides its value. As you haven't mentioned the manufacturer of the card, it is even more difficult to assess its value. I strongly recommend you to have a price check on Beckett first.

If you are willing to pay for professional grading, Beckett can help too and you can find more on the following URL:

Reply:Ok Basketball fan 88. Are you being sarcastic or do you seriously not know who Hakeem Olajuwan is?. Cut the crap and stop calling yourself a basketball fan if you don't. Hakeem has already retired from the nba with two championship rings. Anyway, I remember myself when he was named Akeem and I would say that that card would be a collectible by now the same as a card signed by Lew Alcindor. Now this is the perfect time to sell that card. Hakeem just made the hall of fame and I'm sure some collector would love to commemorate it with a card that had his original name on it. Sell it for about 500 dollars or more on ebay.

Edit: It's ok as long as you realized your mistake.
Reply:What's with these answers? It depends on the condition of the card %26amp; the person willing to buy it. Akeem was the way he originally spelled his name.

From Wik: Muslim faith

In Olajuwon's college career and early years in the NBA, he was often undisciplined, talking back to officials, getting in minor fights with other players such as Magic Johnson, and amassing technical fouls. But later, Olajuwon took an active interest in spirituality,[37] becoming a more devout Muslim. On March 9, 1991, he altered his name from Akeem to the proper Arabic spelling Hakeem, saying, "I'm not changing the spelling of my name, I'm correcting it".[38] He later recalled, "I studied the Qur'an every day. At home, at the mosque...I would read it in airplanes, before games and after them. I was soaking up the faith and learning new meanings each time I turned a page. I didn't dabble in the faith, I gave myself over to it."[38] Olajuwon was still recognized as one of the league's elite centers despite his strict observance of Ramadan (e.g., abstaining from food and drink during daylight hours for about a month), which occurred during virtually every season of his career. Olajuwon was noted as sometimes playing better during the month, and in 1995 he was named NBA Player of the Month in February, even though Ramadan began on 1 February of that year.[4][39] He also gained recognition for his sportsmanship and his charitable pursuits. Some of those charitable pursuits, however, are not without controversy. A mosque founded by Olajuwon and others linked to extremist groups was closed by the US government in 2005[40] after tax records showed it had given money to the Holy Land Foundation, a charity shut down under allegations of funding terrorism (with charges ending in a mistrial). Olajuwon maintains he was not aware of the organization's alleged links to terrorism when he was approached to raise money for African relief work.
Reply:Wait till he gets to the NBA or makes it to the final four. Right now since he's still an unknown player to casual fans the value isn't that high. If he turns out to be a dominant center than the value might increase. You have nothing to lose considering Connecticut is a number 2 ranked team if you wait and then just put it on Ebay. Maybe he autographs without the "H" but otherwise people might say that it's a phony autograph.

MY BAD I wasn't paying attention to the question I'm sorry. I apologize this wasn't a joke I didn't read the question. From my answer I was thinking of someone else I feel embarrassed. I actually just didn't even read the question properly and I answered about UConn's star center Hasheem Thabeet. So again this was an error in judgement.
