As for spelling of Brigitte, I'd automatically write Brigitte just because my friend has that spelling. I don't really care for the name, though.

Alicia.. That way most people will spell her name right on the first try and she won't have to spend all her life continuosly correcting people on the correct spelling of her name.

I have fallen in love with the name Marilyn it is going to be my new baby's name but I really want to spell it different just because I am one of those people.

I wouldn't go much different than like Marilynn, though, because once you really start to mess with the spelling then people start pronouncing it incorrectly.

Also, my best friend's name is Marisa, not Marissa. People have spelled it incorrectly her entire life, and as a kid she always hated not being able to buy anything with her name on it. You know, pencils, keychains, stuff like that with your name on it. You can't find your name if your name is spelled oddly!

Mareilyn is the only thing I can come up with but Marilyn it classic and beautiful and I love the way it is spelled. I am not a US resident but I have a social security number because i worked in the US over the summer. Pretty soon I'm going to have to file for income tax returns, but there's a spelling mistake in my last name that i didn't have time to correct while i was in the US! Cabren for a boy. I like Kabren second, but names with K instead of C are co common now, like the name Kaden. I think Kaybren and Caybren look like more feminine spellings.

Reply:If your daughter is called Kaibriegh then it would probably be a bad idea to call your son Kaybren because the names sound very close together - they could almost be the same thing. That could get confusing later whenever somebody calls out one of their names and they both turn around.

Why not choose another "K" name instead? Here are a few nice ones - Kaiden, Konrad, Kameron, Kole, Kenzie, Kaleb, Kieran, Keanu, Kyle, Karson, Kurtis, Koby, Kamden, Kalen, Karter, Kori, Killian, Keegan, Kane, or Kristian. :-)

I would spell it the way you prefer. Madelyn is obviously pronounced (Mad-uh-lyn). Madeleine/Madeline is NOT pronounced (Mad-uh-lyn). If it were, it would be spelled like Madelyn/Madalyn.

It's all about preference. But if she grows and tells people her middle name, and they pronounce it wrong, she'll just tell them "No, it's MAD-uh-LINE."

If it was the bank's error they will not charge you to fix your name. If you wrote you name wrong on the application, then it's quite possible they would charge you! If it was their fault, you may be able to get them to "rush" your new cards and you may have them within a few days.

As someone with that name, only spelled Meliya, I like that it is a little different. Malia is the common spelling, but Maleah is really pretty. My spelling gets mispronounced a lot of the time. I have also seen it Maleigha, but that is pretty long. If it were me, I would go with Maleah.

Reply:from what i know, you can't change your yahoo ID ldg2231 and have others be redirected to your new name. you have to delete this one or create another.

but there is another way :) ......

you can crete an alias for your id, for example you can log-in to ymail or ymess using ldg2231 or ldg_2231 (depending on availability and personal choice) . frend may send you mail on both, and you will receive them in the same inbox.

Anneliese is the correct spelling, as is Annelise (the Danish form of Anneliese). Unless you happen to be German/Dutch and want to use the name to honor your heritage, I actually prefer the simpler Annelise form. ;)

For what it's worth -- and I'm certain it's been mentioned -- I'd avoid the Anal- (shudder) or Annal- (because it still looks like "anal" LOL) spellings by any means necessary! Also, from your title it seems you do pronounce the name correctly, and the Anna- beginning obviously invites the incorrect ANN-a-lees, rather than ah-ne beginning sound, pronunciation).

Annelise really seems your best bet. And my compliments for considering this while she's still young enough for a change to be fairly simple. She'll appreciate it in the long run. ;)

I think you should look at the name and know instantly what it is. Its too pretty of a name to struggle with and sound out. Annelise definitely looks like it sounds. And Im partial, my daughters name is Elyse! Why not Annelyse? =) I love your choice! Change it for sure though, the spelling just doesnt do it justice! The longer you wait the harder it will be!

1) Thats my daughters name! Spelt: Kaylee. I really like the spelling Kailey, but i know a woman with a little girl whose name is spelt this way - %26amp; its frequently mispronounced as "Kylie"...I love Caylee, but it makes me think of Caylee Anthony :( other than that i love it. %26amp; as for the last one i like it better Kayleigh.

My faves: Caylee, then Kaileigh %26amp; lastly, Kailey.

2) I know a couple that had a baby last july, %26amp; named her this. They spelt it Baylie. I personally like it the traditional way, Bailey.

um...basically, with your friends, at school, on msn, on here anywhere not really official you can use emilie spelling,

However, on official documents like birth certificate, drivers license etc if you don't legally change it, it will remain as emily.
