What is the original spelling of my last name Baldemor in Austria?

I was told that the original spelling of my last name Baldemor is different %26amp; that it originates from Austria. My grandfather I was told was pure Austrian who married a Filipino woman. I don't know why he settled in the Philippines.

What is the original spelling of my last name Baldemor in Austria?
Would you believe that http://www.familysearch.org says this:

"Baldemor--Austria

Exact Spelling: Off

Matches: NO matches "

But, there are 36 listings from the Philippines, and spelled as BALDEMOR.

Ancestral File - 9

鈥?IGI/Asia - over 25

鈥?Pedigree Resource File - 1

鈥?U.S. Social Security Death Index - 1

They date from 1840 to these in 1990:

Juana Atongcol BALDEMOR - Ancestral File

Gender: F; Birth: Abt 1904 ; Death/Burial: Bef 1990 Binan, Laguna, Philippines

Lorenzo BALDEMOR - Ancestral File

Gender: M ; Birth: Abt 1878; Death/Burial: Bef 1990 Binan, Laguna, Philippines ; Juana's father.

I thought maybe you meant AUSTRALIAN instead of Austrian (since it is closer to the Philippines), but there are NO listings there either.

http://www.ancestry.com shows these names:

Dionisio Baldemor--b. abt 1905; lists birthplace as Pennsylvania on 1930 census but original shows "Philippine Islands" and "Race: Filipino". Residence in 1930: Pullman, Whitman, Washington

Name: Teodoro Baldemor

Birth: abt 1888 - Philippines

Residence: 1920 - Kan, Hawaii, Hawaii Territory

http://www.rootsweb.com has 15 listings in their World Connect database, and it seems to all be one family. Says there are 515 additional hits for BALDEMOR at Ancestry.com , and 186 at at Long Lost People.com

Is this you, by any chance, from http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.co... ??

To give you an example there are 44 variations of the name Dickson that I know about
Reply:Visit the Filipino Archives and pull his immigration papers. Then you'll know how HE spelled his name when he still lived in the "old country".
