I would like to know how can someone change the spelling of there name in there important documents.?

My father accendentilly misspelled my name in all of my important documents. So now in my I.D., passport, social secutiry card, and naturilization certificate, my name is differently spelled. How can I fix it quickly.

I would like to know how can someone change the spelling of there name in there important documents.?
If it is misspelled on your birth certificate, the only thing you can do is get your name changed by order of a court. Ask your local court about how to go about changing your name. If it is not misspelled on your birth certificate, bring it to the departments that issued the documents and ask to have them corrected.
Reply:obviously the trait runs in the family.....
Reply:the same thing happened to my husband. he had his mom's maiden name in his social but not in his passport so the ins was making a big deal thinking that it wasn't his and all that blah so he just went to change it in the social security place... so if your birth certificate is not misspelled i think it will be easier to change the rest of your docs, but it might take time to receive them back.
Reply:I was in the office for that in my state, and the woman before me had the same problem - only worse, she took too long to name her baby so the hospital did -

But she was told there would be no way to change anything, not one letter, without a court order.
Reply:Spelling doesn't appear to be a strong suit in your family.
Reply:1 way! go to your attorney he has the power to all of your documents.
