What do you think about the name & spelling of "Kacie" for a baby girl? Husband loves it-I'm on the fence...

It's an adorable nickname.

It doesn't leave her much to grow into as an adult, and even as a child might leave her drowning in a sea of Kaylees, Kylies and Kaities.

I'd use it as a nickname for Katherine Celia or Kate Caroline. Any KC name, really. Or even Acacia.

IMHO, just plain Kacie makes it sound like she'll be five forever. And I rather imagine that's not your intent!

love it :p (thats my name) Report Abuse

Reply:OK
Reply:I really do like it--
Reply:I love the name but I'm 'on the fence' about the spelling, lol!

I think Casey or Kasey looks better but Kacie is still nice and recognisable to most people. Theres nothing worse than seeing a name and although it sounds normal, its spelt really weird. Kacie is okay though.

best of luck
Reply:Only keep "Kacie" if the middle name is something very traditional and that will be used a lot. Like...Kacie Lynn. Or Kacie Ann.

But I like it! :)
Reply:I dont like it. It is not the correct spelling of Casey and I always thinks that sounds off.
Reply:I think it's cute. It's feminine, but it's not just the classic "Kasey" or "Casey", etc. It's going a little different, which is great.

I love different names, even if they aren't so much different, as they're uncommonly spelled
Reply:Generally speaking, I don't like "unique" spelling of names for otherwise common names.

But this is not way out there or very different that people would not know how to pronounce it. I think it is pretty and looks nice too.
Reply:I love it my name is Cassie (kaah-see)lol and its always pronounced Casey so she'll never have her name pronounced wrong I think its a very pretty spelling to a very pretty name plus some people say casey is a boys name and spelling kacie makes it very feminim
Reply:i think its really cute
Reply:why don't you make it stand for two different names that start with a K and a C. You can also think ofthe spelling Kaycee.

But it is a nice name.
Reply:Boring and a little out-dated.
Reply:Honestly, I hate it. Not because it isn't cute, its totally cute. It's too cute even. It's the sort of name a grown woman would have a hard time carrying. Also, the spelling is too trendy. Why not name her Cassidy or Cassandra, and just call her Casey?
Reply:Nah, it reminds me of a dog's name. It's a cute name, not spelled that way though.
Reply:Very cute!
Reply:I really like it.
Reply:Its a lovely name
Reply:I love it.... it is just different enough
Reply:Beautiful name but I prefer the traditional spelling CASEY
Reply:I think it's cute. Of course, I'm biased. I have a grandson with the middle name of Casey. My daughter's grandfather's name was Casimir (Polish name) and his nickname was Casey.

He was a lovely fellow and died when my daughter was in grade school.
Reply:I think it's very cute. I know a girl named Kaysie, pronounced "Casey". I think it's very cute and unique.
Reply:Its really cute!
Reply:I think Kacie is cute. Definately different from the traditional Casey. My cousins name is Kaysy - now I think thats a stupid spelling of the name.
Reply:i like it.

my little sister's name is charleigh.

and it's unique.
Reply:Is that pronounced Kay-see or Kaah-see? However you want it pronounced, it'll be easier if people can tell by how it's spelled.
Reply:well my nickname is KC because of my first and maiden name... but i jazzed it up and i spell it Kasci.

so overall, the name is CUTE! and who cares how you spell it... kaycee/ KC/ Casie/ Kasci/ or how you want to spell it, Kacie.... its cute..
