Which spelling of this name do you prefer?

My husband and I like the name 'Kitanya' for a girl. It sounds lovely but the spelling isn't cute enough for me so I was wanting some opinions on variations or if you think the original is better.

Kitanya

Kitanja

Kitania

Kitahnya

Kitahnja

Kitahnia

Kittanya

Kittanja

Kittania

Kytannia

Kytannya

Kytannja

Kyttania

Kyttanja

Kyttanya

Or any other variation you can think of. It's a cute name I just wanted a new way to spell it.

Which spelling of this name do you prefer?
Kitania and Kitahnia is unique spelling for a unique name
Reply:Kitania. I like that it will still look good as a grown up's name as well.
Reply:Actually I like the spelling Kitanya the best. I think it's very cute. Repeating letters is kinda annoying... like the ones that are tt or nn.
Reply:Kytahnya or Kytanya
Reply:Kitanya
Reply:I like one you didn't use, Kytania.
Reply:I like Kitanya, Kytannia, and Kyttania... Hope that helps. Good luck and congrats.
Reply:I think the spelling of Kitanya is the least confusing. I've never heard of the name, what is it origin? Its pretty, and I like the nickname Kit, but I actually prefer the slightly variated Katina (which is Greek and a variant of Katerina).

The other spellings you have listed make the name look made-up and contrived. Kitanya is elegant enough to make it look substantial
Reply:Kitanya

But be ready for others to nickname her Kitty.
Reply:There is a place in Italy called Catania (prn. Kuh-tawn-ya).

I don't care for the K-I-T part, so if you are going to use K, then what about Katania? jmo.

Goodluck!
Reply:kitania it just looks so simple and sophisticated at the same time, overall all names are soo cute :)

good luck choosing
Reply:Kitania. Research shows that the more anglicised the name, the better off economically the adult. Dodgy I know but hey. Also I have a pet hate of adding Ys where they shouldnt be. Shes special enough without it.
Reply:Kitanya
Reply:Kittania
Reply:K'Tanya............maybe this will be helpful.......it easier to pronounce but more difficult when u really look at it...........
Reply:Kitania

very cute by the way
Reply:kytannia
Reply:I think the original spelling is adorable- I'd keep it if I were you. But, hey, that's your decision. Out of the other names, I'd choose Kittania.
Reply:Kyttania

i like the ky beginning rather than the ki
Reply:I like K'tanya, unless you want the 'kit' bit, she might be kitty cat!

Good luck
Reply:I like Catania. It's also the name of a province of Sicily in Italy.

You seem to be more attached to the sound of the name than its spelling. If you invented Kitanya because you liked the sound of the syllables together, spelling it Catania gives the name meaning and history. :)
Reply:Kitania.
Reply:Kitania is nice. :-)

The "cuter" you go with the name, though, with all the Ys and Js, the harder it will be for people to know how to pronounce her name.
Reply:Is it a long i sound or a short i sound in the first syllable? I am a teacher and this is a very unusual name. I wouldn't make her spelling anymore difficult than it already is, since her name is so unusual.

I'm not sure how to pronounce this name--is it a long i or a short i? Also, how do you pronounce the second part? Is it Tanya or Tonya?

I can't chose a spelling unless I know how to say it.
Reply:I like the original best. Remember, she will be stuck with this name all of her life. Don't make it difficult for her by spelling it in such a way that no one will be able to pronounce it when it's in writing. I work in a hospital ER and I encounter a lot of people who have otherwise normal names, but are spelled so outrageously that I can't recognize them on paper. It really is a beautiful name, and very unique. I don't think it needs all the bells and whistles of a fancy spelling.
