Finally decided on a baby girl name but whats the best spelling?

we finally pick out our babygirls name


and like skylar (Skyler) best, but I'm not sure which sounds more girly- with an ar, or er at the end?

I think that Skylar is used for a girls and Skyler is used more for boys. http://www.babynamesworld.com said that Skylar has been in the top 1000 GIRLS names since the beginning of the 1990's and Skyler has been in the top 1000 BOYS names for just as long. Also this name popularity grew in 1997 when we were introduced to two Skylar's. One was a new life guard on Baywatch and the other was a Harvard student in Good Will Hunting. I hope this helped.
Reply:In greek Skyla means collie ***** and Skylar reminds me of it. I prefer Skyler because it is clean. Sorry to disapoint all those who preffer Skylar.
