Well personally I think Emily is a very common name and I wouldn't choose it. But if I did u would use the following spellings.

Emilee

Emelie

Emileigh

What do you think of the name Emily and what spelling to you like?
I love the name!

I like Emilee, Emilie, and Emily.

I've seen it spelled, Emileigh though
Reply:I like Emily.
Reply:LOVE the name emily its our god daughters name and its spelt the same way.
Reply:Emilie
Reply:I think Emily is way over-used and I think Emma is a much more classy/classic and elegant form. Alternatives are Emory, Emerson, Amelie, or Amelia.

Reply:Emily is a great name. You could always use the nickname Emmy.
Reply:Emily is still the best spelling, but personally I find the name boring, common and unoriginal. I'm not a huge fan of weird names like 'apple' but i think you can do better than Emily.
Reply:If we have a girl, we are going to name her Emilie or Emily - not sure on the spelling. We have to get prego first, though!
Reply:My friend spells hers Emiley. I like either Emilee or Amelie, though.
Reply:it sounds a bit classic and i like the way it is, emily.
Reply:Emily is a beautiful name! It's super popular, but in a good way. Unlike the probably equally popular Mackenzie's and Mikayla's, Emily seems more timeless - an Emily in five or ten years will sound just as nice as an Emily born today, while a Madison in the future will probably end up sounding too dated or out-of-place (I guess it has to do with the 'trendiness' factor of the name).

I really just like that spelling, since the other 'kre8ative' spellings only make problems for her later in life. If you really wanted to use Emily but in a more unique way, I'd just go for some other variant of it, as opposed to a different spelling - Emma, Emmeline, Emilia, Emelina, etc.

Good luck!
Reply:Emily is the most popular girl's name in America. I would never use it, because I wouldn't want my daughter to be Emily F. her entire life.

The only legitimate spellings are Emily and Emilie. Variants include Amelie, Amelia, Emilia, Emiliana, and Emmeline. I would love to see a little Emmeline (em-eh-leen).
Reply:Emily is the #1 girls name right now. Do you want her to be one of a zillion with the same name? I was one of 3 Susan's in my class in grade school. Not fun!!!
Reply:I like Emily, with just that spelling. I don't like trendy spellings.
Reply:too over used.Every kindergarten class has at least an extra Emily on hand. How about Emerie,Asia,Crislyn,Crislee.Just something different.
Reply:I think Emily is a beautiful classic name - sadly, like Emma, it's very popular right now, and your daughter could very likely end up being one of several Emilys in the classroom. I don't agree with changing the spelling just for the sake of quirkiness - all it means is she'll spend her whole life correcting every teacher, bureaucrat, etc who tries to spell her name.

Might I suggest Amelie as an alternative - a classic French name that's a little more individual outside of France, plus it's the name of one of the most adorable film heroines of all time!
Reply:Emily is a lovely name and the way you spell it is the only way ..
Reply:I was going to name my daughter Emma Leigh and call her by both her first and middle name. But we ended up going with Elizabeth Riley and I call her Izzie for short.
Reply:i used to dance with a girl name emilee. i like that spelling.
Reply:my baby sisters name is emily rose after you guessed it! lol and thats the same way she spelled it! i would say Amelia and call her emily for short! that way you have a little to play with!
Reply:lovely name! try emmelie
