He was raised in Brixton/London and died in Goose Green, East Dulwich.around 1980 He was a well known character in E Dulwich.

There are some copies for sale on abebooks so you can find the bibliographic details on there. I cannot find any information on the author though, except that some copies of the book were published under his full name which was Edward George David Child.
