When I was born my mother wanted my name to be spelled "Ericka". My birth certificate is spelled "Erica" and my social is spelled "Ericka". Which one is more valid to use? I always have spelled/signed my name with a "ck". It's just a pain to see some of my bills spelled two different ways.

You probably need to get it changes legally on your birth cert. Could be a pain in the butt later. I know it is small but I had to present my birth cert when I applied for my social security benefits. just get it cleared up. your real name is Erica
