For a word processor, it won't be fixed until another release (word processors scan from a dictionary file, so it would need to be added) - but you can always right click and say "add to dictionary"
Other than that, online sites should be much quicker to incorporate Obama's name into their spell check systems.
How long will it take for computers to stop citing Barak Obama's name as a spelling error?
It will continue likely since even though is a president his name is not a correct word with a definition. Names of people even famous people are often not put into spell checkers.
